Our mission: Soanirina Project is a family project initiative whose objective is to inspire the rural villagers of Avaratrambolo, Antananarivo, Madagascar, to take their own steps towards prosperity. Our current endeavor is to collaborate with the local community of Avaratrambolo with their educational projects. We believe that education is the key to prosperity.

EPP Avaratrambolo – Primary Public School

Education is a fundamental right and the basis for progress in every country.  Parents need information about health and nutrition if they are to give their children the start in life they deserve.  Prosperous countries depend on skilled and educated workers.  The challenges of conquering poverty, combatting climate change and achieving truly sustainable development in the coming decades compel us to work together.  With partnership, leadership and wise investments in education, we can transform individual lives, national economies and our world.” Ban-Ki-moon, Former Secretary-General of the United Nations

Our Vision

Education is the fundamental key to success of a community, which social progress and economic prosperity of a rural community depend on. For a project to be successful, we believe strongly that a consultative and collaborative approach must be stirred from the grassroots level as opposed to a top-down approach, often financed, directed and managed by foreign organizations. We value and support community-led project initiatives.

Our Contributions

To fulfill one of our objectives, we decided to take part in a community-led project by collaborating with the local authorities and the villagers of Avaratrambolo for the construction of the new preschool building of the public school of the local village. As they say, “it takes a whole village to raise a child”. One of our highest priorities consists of our contribution to the daily functions of the school which involve supporting its learning resources and equipment and its social programs and activities.

Ny fianarana no lova tsara indrindra” (Education is the best heritage of all, or the most valuable treasure), as the Malagasy elders always say to the younger generations.

Education should be the driving force for the advancement of the human civilization. Unfortunately, we face many challenges and obstacles despite of the collective efforts that are deployed, at a national and international levels, by many organizations, institutions, governments and local communities.

Madagascar has two hundred years of school history, and still today it has not found its way to democratize its education system so every communities including the rural villages can benefit from it.

Art and music play an important role in the brain development of a child. In Madagascar, children possess innate musical traits that should be nurtured and developed throughout their education.
