We believe in grassroots initiative socio-economic projects of remote rural communities. Without interfering in the local project planning of the Avaratrambolo school project, Soanirina Project, in consultation with the local community, contributed in the process for the building of the new pre-school premise. Our role was to research, understand, and support the needs of the local community and its involvement of the daily life of the school.
Our objective consists of providing the support the school of Avaratrambolo day-to-day needs in their social and educational programs. Our hope is that the children in the village will benefit from this project first and foremost as it ultimately will have a positive impact on the livelihood of the local villagers.
“A quality education has the power to transform societies in a single generation, provide children with the protection they need from the hazards of poverty, labor exploitation and disease, and given them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential.” Audrey Hepburn (UNICEF-pdf)
Collaboration with the community of Avaratramblolo on school initiative projects
In early 2019, the village of Avaratrambolo decided to upgrade and expand the current elementary public school. A new building has been built to run the new pre-school program, for the first time, for the 2020-2021 school year. The stakeholders, including the CISCO (the local district school board), villagers and private donors had collaborated in this project.

Grassroots initiative: the local villagers in action
Our human compassion binds us the one to the other – not in pity or patronizingly but as human beings who have learnt how to turn our common suffering into hope for the future.
